As Spain lost their first match against Switzerland during the FIFA World Cup 2010, so did Feyenoord. They lost 1-2 against Sint-Truidense VV, which was the best club from Belgium looking at their advancement. Although Feyenoord scored 2 debatable goals which were disallowed, they lost their first match against all odds. By showing their strong mentality, Noah, Jay’len, Sabri, and Jerano, came back strong by winning all other games in the group after beating Sparta Rotterdam (6-0), Luynes Sports (7-1), Akademik Football (3-1), and Lommel SK (6-1).

They ended at the second spot in the group advancing them to the 1/16 finals against R Union STG from Belgium. Although tensions got high both on and off-field, our players showed their true skills by beating Union with a spectacular 5-1. In the 1/8 finals, the tough Danish team Gentofte Fodbold Academi was no match as they won 5-2. In Quarter-Finals they were matched with the well-known Olympique de Marseille which won their matches in a spectacular way against prominent teams such as Lausanne Sport and Manchester City (8-2). During the quarter-finals, Feyenoord played at a very high level with a dominant Noah and Jay’len as they became victorious with an astonishing 3-1 win.

Next, they continued their path against US Torcy from France which previously won against prominent teams such as Standard de Liege, R Charleroi, and Olympique Lyonnais (5-0). Once again Feyenoord became victorious with an amazing 3-1 win.

During the finals, Feyenoord was matched against top talents from France, named Selection Ile de France which previously won against prominent teams such as Olympique Lyonnais (8-0), SL Benfica (2-1), RSC Anderlecht (5-3), MTK Budapest, and Chelsea (4-3). Once again Feyenoord became victorious with an amazing 5-3 win.

 

During the finals;

• Noah gave two decisive assists and had a 98% passing accuracy rate
• Jay’len scored three decisive goals
• Marouane, a former TIFA player, scored two goals
